IS THE TRACK AND FIELD TEAM OPEN TO EVERYONE OR ONLY ATHLETES WHO HAVE EXPERIENCE? 

The team is opened to any student who would like to tryout.​

WHAT HEALTH CONDITIONS WOULD PREVENT MY CHILD FROM PARTICIPATING?

All athletes are required to have a complete physical in order to participate. A doctor will be able to determine if you child is able to compete.

SHOULD MY CHILD BE IN SHAPE TO TRY OUT FOR THE TRACK TEAM?

Yes. A student can get into shape by training in the off- season after school track program

WHEN IS TRACK SEASON?
Track Season takes place in the Spring.

WHEN ARE TRY-OUTS?

WHAT IF MY CHILD IS IN ANOTHER SPORT?

Track practice occurs during 6th period of the Spring semester. Athletes in other sports should make sure his or her sport does not take place in the Spring. Transitioning into 6th period track and field will not be a problem after try-outs if your student already has a 6th period sport during another training season.

CAN MY CHILD GET A SCHOLARSHIP TO COLLEGE IN TRACK AND FIELD?

There are many scholarships out there for track and field athletes. Track and field consists of various running and field events, each of which could offer a potential for a college scholarship.
