SOCIAL INTERACTION.
Track and field exposes the athletes to various cultures and diverse backgrounds. Being an individual sport, the athletes have more time to interact with the athletes of other schools to learn about their education and life experiences. Many athletes go on to make good friends with students from other divisions which broadens their perception, and opens their minds to new possibilities.
